【おことわり】朝日新聞はこれまで、犯行時少年だった大月被告について、少年法の趣旨を尊重し、社会復帰の可能性などに配慮して匿名で報道してきました。最高裁判決で死刑が確定する見通しとなったことを受け、実名での報道に切り替えます。国家によって生命を奪われる刑の対象者は明らかにされているべきだとの判断からです。本社は２００４年、事件当時は少年でも、死刑が確定する場合、原則として実名で報道する方針を決めています。
