あと、皆さんが実感を持たれていないと思うのですが、最近の医学部に入る若者は具体的な目標がないですね。勉強の成績が良かったから医学部にしたという感じで、７割ぐらいの人が理想を持っていないです。医者という生業のために命を捧げるぞという強い気持ちを持っている人は本当に少ない。そのためか、外科の成り手がいないです。内科に比べて外科はキツいというイメージを持たれていますからね。
入学試験には一定の学力は必要ですが、“卒業後は外科医を目指して10年は他の道には行きません”という誓約書を書いた奴は無条件で採るとか（笑）。そういう枠を1割ぐらい作ってもいんじゃないかと（笑）。
このままだと、だんだん指導力のある医者が高齢化していって、トキのように絶滅してしまうんじゃないかと思いますね。
